Have you ever tried to travel to Bangalore with trains like Gorakhpur Express, the worst train I ever traveled with as passenger trains are better than this. It stops at the station where you do not have anything to eat or drink. Total numbers of stations on which it stop are more than twice which railway shows in its list. No pantry car facilities available (for the passenger traveling for more than 40 Hrs. of Journey, you can imagine). All you have the train full of private vendors who charges 25% to 40% extra sometimes more.
How it is happening because all the top officials and Railway staff even Engine Driver, AC Coach Attendent and all other staff members is having a good dam share with free food for them.
Purpose
The purpose of this blog is to discuss about the great Indian Railway as it is the biggest railway of the world with the worst facilities and full of corruption. Here I invite everyone who is interested in sharing his viewes or stories about his travel through Indian railway. But befor starting I would like to introduce Indian Railways:
Indian Railways is divided into seventeen zonal railways, and each zonal railway is subdivided into Divisions. There are about 67 divisions. Indian Railway's rail network is the busiest in the world, transporting over 18 million passengers and more than 2 million tonnes of freight daily.
